The Mind

Sometimes we say and do irrational things. The mind is an incredible manipulator, and we have to learn how to control it so it does not drive us insane. How do we control it? How do we use it to our advantage?

The mind can be a double edge sword. On one hand, it is our greatest asset, and on the other it can be our greatest weakness. If you truly believe you can accomplish something, then you do not let anything get in your way because you have total control over your mind. It is your strength. In contrast, allowing irrational thoughts to creep in preventing you from trying or accomplishing your goals is your greatest weakness.

“You have power over your mind – not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.”

~Marcus Aurelius

Every new season represents a rebirth, just as tomorrow is a new day. There will always be people who want to see you fail. Ignore them, they are inept. It is not worth your time or effort to listen or believe them. Most of them are failures in their own lives, insecure, and jealous of your success. Instead of seeing it as something negative, make it a positive. Let it strengthen you and get a good laugh out of it.

“Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth.”

~Marcus Aurelius

In the end, our mind is a powerful tool, so use it to your advantage. Keep the circle around you filled with people you can trust, and who support you. They will always bring out the best in you. Never limit yourself, never underestimate yourself, and never settle.
